Staff, Elders & MC Advance

Staff, Elders & MC Advance
July 9–11 | Kissimmee, Florida
We believe some of the most important moments in leadership happen when we pause long enough to worship, listen, pray, and realign. This retreat weekend is a space for our Staff, Elders, and MC leaders to do just that—to celebrate what God has done so far this year and center ourselves on where He is leading us next.
Throughout the weekend, expect times of worship, teaching, and training, along with space to pray, connect, laugh, and enjoy being together. Our hope is that this would be a time to be refreshed in God’s presence, strengthened in unity, and filled with fresh faith and vision for the season ahead.
Cost: TBD
Greenhouse will cover the stay. Everyone will chip in for food and travel to the host home.
FAQ’s
1. What are the official times?
The retreat officially begins Thursday at 7:00pm and wraps up Saturday at 5:00pm.
2. What happens if I’m not able to get off Friday?
We totally understand. We’d actually prefer you save your vacation time for family trips and important personal time.
Here’s what most people do: if you work remote, Friday from 8:00am–5:00pm is open, so feel free to bring your work with you. For those who are free, Friday is intentionally flexible—a chance to hang, explore, eat good food, chill, read a book, talk with friends, or even hit a theme park.
We do ask that everyone is back and ready for dinner by 6:00pm. If you’re not able to come earlier, please do your best to arrive no later than 8:00pm, since that’s when our first session begins.
3. Can I bring kids?
It depends on the results of our survey. We’d be open to it if we’re able to find a way for it to work without pulling leaders away from the purpose of the weekend and our main sessions.
In the past, most parents have worked ahead to secure childcare so they could fully engage. That said, kids under one are welcome either way.
4. What can I expect?
Expect a weekend that feels both meaningful and refreshing. We’ll have intentional times of worship, teaching, prayer, and leadership development, along with plenty of space to laugh, rest, connect, process, and simply enjoy being together. There will be room for both depth and fun—moments that strengthen us spiritually and time that builds us relationally. Our hope is that you leave encouraged, refreshed, and more aligned for the season ahead.
5. Can I stay the night on Saturday?
Yes—definitely. A good number of people usually do. We just ask that if you stay over, you still help us end the weekend well by coming back and serving with us on Sunday.
6. How should we as leaders be thinking about service on Sunday?
Your presence matters, and we’re doing this retreat because we believe we are owners of the ministries God has entrusted to us. At the same time, we recognize this is still a long weekend.
Because of that, we want every department to plan ahead and schedule in a way that keeps you from carrying a main responsibility that Sunday if possible. For example:
- Worship Team: use the budget to bring in a guest worship team
- Kids Ministry: simplify the morning or create a lower-effort Sunday plan
- Set Up & Tear Down: during the summer months, we should be able to leave things up
